Project IMPACT CCM, Inc. (PICCM) is dedicated to the measurement and improvement of ICU performance.

What sets PICCM apart is the rigorous and comparative nature of our measurement systems, which are designed by and for critical care professionals. In fact, the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) was the founder of Project IMPACT and remains a 50% shareholder in PICCM. PICCM systems gather, centralize, analyze, and share (in complete anonymity) data from participating ICUs, to the benefit of all. By comparing your results (e.g. severity adjusted outcomes and resource utilization, LOS, rates of readmission etc.) to those from other ICUs, you can learn where your performance is good, and perhaps more importantly, identify opportunities for improvement.

A one-time assessment or locally defined system just doesn't get it!
